MIDAFEN WB531 is an aqueous, slightly acidic acrylic polymer dispersion.
It has a low viscosity - easy to handle.
In the alkaline medium, due to the neutralization of carboxyl groups an increase in the intermolecular interactions occurs which result in viscosity increase - after removing from the mould, handled mass has significant initial strenght.
Due to the mechanical stresses the interaction between polymer chains weakens and viscosity decreases - during vibration/mixing, the mass flows easily exactly filling the entire volume of the mold.
The process of viscosity decrease and its regrowth is very fast and reversible - equilibrium is reached within a couple of seconds.
Avoid storage at temperatures below 5°C as a freeze leads to irreversible changes in its properties.
Efficiency in control of thixotropy at concentrations as low as 0.02%.
Easy to use thanks to a consistency of low viscosity liquid.
Maintains constant consistency of the concrete mass regardless of variations in the moisture content in the raw materials.
Facilitates the removal of the air from vibrated product.
After completion of vibrating the viscosity of the concrete mass rapidly increases - increased initial strength of the product.
Allows for reduction of the amount of the binding components while maintaining the same strength parameters.
Stability at high temperatures - the product does not degrade during prolonged mixing.
