Silicone Grease Type D is very firm silicone gel, colourless, odourless and slightly opaque. It is a product slightly thixotropic. Developed for the apparatus working under ultra-high vacuum.
Operating temperature range from -40°C to +250°C.
Silicone Grease Type D is used as a lubricant, sealant and releasing.
The substances contained in the product comply with FDA regulations for NSF H1 (chapter 21 CFR 178.3570) for incidental contact with food.
- Low vapor pressure component allows the use of the apparatus, operating under ultra-high vacuum and at high temperatures.
- Water resistance - protection against corrosion of coated components.
- Very wide temperature range of application.
- Silicone Grease Type D is not soluble in the following solvents: water, methanol, ethanol, glycerol, glycol, mineral oils.
- Silicone Grease Type D is soluble in gasoline, petroleum ether, toluene, kerosene, methylene chloride.
